2008 Chateau St Jean Fumé Blanc Lyon Vineyard Alexander Valley

Tasting Notes
This wine is dry, with a mid-level of acidity. The nose offers primary flavor notes of mandarin orange, lime, a little flint, tangerine, and a deep aura of rose. A number of tropical fruit flavor notes poke out from beneath these primary flavors: melon, pineapple and even a touch of banana. All the notes are ripe and warm. This Fumé Blanc really shines when it comes to the wine's good round mouth-feel. The finish is long, with the wine's acidity nicely tamed; the rose and tangerine form the final notes.

Outstanding…exhibits more honeyed nectarine, lemon oil, and flint characteristics in its medium-bodied, richly fruity, classy, elegant personality. It should drink well for several years.
