The popular Robert Young Pinot Blanc offers inviting aromas of ripe stone fruit, fresh Bosc pear and sweet honeysuckle floral notes. The palate is bright with forward honeydew melon and kiwi flavors. Subtle mineral notes are underpinned by the rich yet elegant texture of the wine and the lively and well-balanced acidity keeps the purity of the fruit vibrant throughout the finish.
Made from true Pinot Blanc plantings, this wine is crafted from three different fermentation techniques. About two-thirds of the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the variety’s fruit focus. An additional 15% is fermented in stainless steel barrels allowing for additional texture in the absence of oak. Finally, the balance (21%) is fermented in French oak barrels and undergoes partial malolactic fermentation. This barrel portion is aged sur lie for ten months in seasoned oak to impart richness and complexity to the final blend.
