Entertaining Charcuterie Platter

  • 6 oz wedge clothbound Cheddar cheese
  • 6 oz wedge Camembert cheese
  • 6 oz wedge fontina D’Aosta cheese (semi-firm)
  • 4 oz wedge Stilton-style blue cheese
  • 3 oz thinly sliced prosciutto
  • 3 oz thinly sliced finocchiona salami (Italian dry salami seasoned with fennel)
  • 3 oz thinly sliced cured coppa salami
  • 1 baguette, sliced into 24 rounds and toasted
  • 2 Honeycrisp apples, each sliced into 12 pieces
  • 1 piece fresh honeycomb (about 4 oz)
  • 6 fresh figs, quartered
  • 1 1/2 cups whole strawberries
  • 3/4 cup each blackberries and raspberries
  • 3/4 cup mixed nuts (such as walnuts, hazelnuts and pistachios)


  1. On large platter or board, arrange Cheddar, Camembert, fontina, blue cheese, prosciutto, salami, coppa and baguette slices.
  2. Arrange apples, honeycomb, figs, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and nuts around cheese and cured meats.


  • Estimate about 3 to 4 oz of cured meat and cheese per person.
  • Make sure to bring cheeses to room temperature before serving for best flavor.
  • To toast baguette slices: Preheat broiler. Brush both sides of baguette slices with olive oil. Arrange on foil-lined baking sheet. Broil for 1 to 2 minutes per side or until golden brown and toasted. Transfer to rack.
